International Seminar "Smart Goods – Challenges for Consumer and Data Protection"

During the international seminar participants will discuss topical issues related to smart goods, e.g. new challenges that connected cars or smartphones present for our privacy and for us as consumers. The seminar is mostly dedicated to legal issues but has also interdisciplinary approach involving computer and social scientists as well as digital economy practitioners. In addition to renowned international legal scholars, there is also a panel for doctoral students.
The seminar takes place in the rooms of University of Tartu School of Law in Tallinn and is organised by professors Karin Sein and Irene Kull within the University of Tartu ASTRA project PER ASPERA and Estonian Research Council grant PUT PRG 124.
International Conference „Current Challenges of Estonian and European Insurance Law”
21–22 March 2019, Plenary Hall of the University of Tartu (Ülikooli 18)
It is the first international conference organized in Estonia that focuses only on insurance law. The programme includes presentations by acknowledged European insurance law experts, Estonian legal researchers and insurance practitioners.
The working languages of the conference are English and Estonian (including translation into English).
There is a fee of €50. The invoice will be sent to you after registration. NB! Students of the University of Tartu have free admission to the conference.
