Renting a flat: if the life in the dormitory seems not to be of your style, you could rent an apartment or find someone who is looking for a flatmate. The rent prices range from approximately 150 EUR for a room in a shared flat to 450 EUR or more for a flat in the city centre (1-2 rooms). The rents are the highest in the fall – late August, early September.
Information about rental apartments can be found on real estate portals and Facebook groups:
The University of Tartu does not have student dorms in Tallinn. All students are responsible for finding their own accommodation. Rent prices do not include utilities unless stated so. If you rent an apartment through a real estate agency, expect to pay a broker's fee (1 month's rent) and a deposit (usually 1 month's rent). Rent prices for one bedroom apartment or a room in a shared flat can start from 120-150 EUR/month (+ utilities), but expect to pay much more for a flat in the city centre (about 400 for a 1-2 room apartment). The following links can be useful for finding an apartment or a room in a shared flat.
