School of Law organizes several international summer schools every year.
Since 2012 we organize the Martens Summer School on International Law. The programme is managed by Professor of International Law Lauri Mälksoo and annually brings together approximately 25–30 students from around the world. Each year we invite 4 distinguished lecturers from different countries and each lecturer presents 5 lectures over 5 days of the week. In 2020, the Martens Summer School will not take place. We plan to organize the 9th Martens Summer School on International Law in 2021. For more information, please click here.
In addition, Professor Irene Kull is a co-organizer of the Salzburg Summer School of European Private Law. This has been a springboard for several young UT researchers and was the starting point for the Academy of European Private Law in which our law scholars actively participate. In 2020, the Salzburg Summer School of European Private Law takes place from 5 to 12 September and the theme is "European Private Law and the challenge of Covid 19". People can also participate digitally. Deadline for the submission of applications is July 15, 2020. Please click here for further information.
