Aleš Galič is a professor for civil procedural law at the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana, with major interests in teaching and research being Civil Procedure, International and European Civil Procedure, Arbitration Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution. He has published numerous books (as a sole or co-author) and articles in these fields of law (full bibliography is available at: http://izumbib.izum.si/bibliografije/Y20131217113753-13029.html. Besides his full time employment at the University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Law, prof. Galič has also been working part-time as legal advisor to the Constitutional court of Slovenia since 1996. He is a member of the Presidency of the Court of Arbitration attached to the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He has participated in expert groups for drafting Civil procedure Act – 1999 and its amendments of 2002 and 2008, the Labour and Social Courts Act, the Amendment of Enforcement of Judgements and Protective Measures Act, Protection of Competition Act and Arbitration Act. Besides Slovenian, he speaks English, German, Croatian and Serbian languages. Prof. Galič has been a visiting professor at Universities of Zurich, Switzerland (2 months, 2009) and Uppsala, Sweden (one month, 2008).
