The goal of this course is to introduce students to litigation and business law as practiced in the United States and internationally. Many of the subjects, including trademarks, trade dress, and copyright laws, as well as contract formation and remedies, have international significance beyond Estonia and the United States. Course lectures are designed to encourage interactive discussion using video clips and case studies to explore subject matter in an entertaining and informative format. The initial course work will review litigation techniques and the culmination will be a mock trial in which all students will participate.
Tim Heinson is a partner in Heinson & DeDobbelaere, LLC. For more than 25 years he has represented clients in various types of litigation and business matters, including personal and bodily injury, landlord-tenant, construction defect, insurance coverage, and premises liability.
