IT Law Programme Welcomes Once More A New Trainee

On the 8^th of February, with the beginning of spring term, the IT Law Programme welcomed Lenka Michalcova as the 4^th trainee in the programme. Lenka holds a Master’s Diploma in law from Charles University in Prague. During her studies she participated in the Erasmus+ programme and spent one year at the University of Sheffield, UK. Her courses were focused mainly on Internet privacy, data and intellectual property protection law. Simultaneously with her studies she worked as a paralegal in a law office in the Czech Republic and undertook several traineeships abroad. Lenka was awarded with a Master’s Diploma in Law from Charles University in Prague just at the beginning of 2016.

During her traineeship Lenka will focus on researching on various dilemmas in the IT law field.

The three previous trainees during the term 2015/2016 have been Jenni Rantanen from University of Helsinki, with interests in data protection and data transfer, cloud computing and insurance law; Kateryna Shokalo from Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University, with interests in alternative dispute resolution, including online dispute resolution, and human rights; and Alona Kiriak from University of Kyiv, with an interest in commercial law, comparative intellectual property law, e-commerce and digital developments.

All the trainees have been welcomed to the programme through the Student Trainee Exchange Programme (STEP) of the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA).

During the term 2016/2017, the IT Law Programme is expecting to host another 4 trainees.
