Lecture "Consumer data as consideration", 27.01.2017 in Tallinn

On Friday, January 27, 2017, at 16.00 prof Martin Schmidt-Kessel (University of Bayreuth) will give a lecture on the topic "Consumer data as consideration".

For many digital goods and services (for example, Facebook or Whatsapp) we do not pay in money but rather with our personal data. This phenomenon creates complex legal questions, including difficult interplay between data protection and (consumer) contract rules. The lecture "Consumer data as consideration" addresses these questions within the background of recent legislative developments of the European Union.

The lecture will take place in the School of Law, Kaarli pst 3 - 101, Tallinn. Registration will begin at 15.30, end of the lecture 17.30.
