RECORDING: Open Doors Day 2023 on 1 March

The University of Tartu welcomes our future bachelor’s and medical students to join Open Doors Day 2023 on 1 March

The Open Doors Day will take place at the University of Tartu Library (W. Struve 1, Tartu, Estonia) and online*. Participants will have an excellent chance to explore the study opportunities at the University of Tartu, learn about the admission process, life in Estonia, and listen to student experiences. Apart from that, the participants can join the tours around the University of Tartu campus and in the dormitory.

According to Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Aune Valk, after several years of the pandemic and conducting the Open Doors event online, we are delighted to welcome our participants in Tartu this year. "To understand Tartu and fall in love with this city, of course, you need to come back again in the spring for the Walpurgis night and in the autumn when Toome hill turns yellow. I hope you will find a reason to visit Tartu for these occasions. On the Open Doors Day, ask everything, even the questions that seem silly at first glance. It is important to choose a major that suits you and at the same time understand that there is much more to student life besides studies," said Aune Valk.

The Open Doors Day will be opened by the speech of the President of the University of Tartu Student Union Katariina Sofia Päts. At the study fair, participants can learn about international degree programmes and talk with International Student Ambassadors of the University of Tartu. In addition, it is possible to visit the UT museums for free and get to know the fascinating history of the main building of the University of Tartu.

During the Open Doors Day, there will be info sessions about the bachelor’s programmes in Business Administration, Science and Technology and the integrated bachelor’s and master’s programme in Medicine. Apart from that, there will be a special info session for Ukrainian applicants (in Ukrainian). Our participants are welcome to join the tours to the Institute of Technology, the Delta Centre, Biomedicum and the dormitory.

While the event is targeted at future bachelor’s students, we are happy to host future master’s students, too. Future master’s students are welcome to join the study fair or contact us separately and we will organise a personal info session.

*All info sessions will be streamed on the YouTube and Facebook pages of the University of Tartu. The tours will not be streamed.
