Digital identity theft has become a significant challenge in Norway, causing substantial losses for individuals, financial institutions and society. This lecture explores how electronic identities are misused, the consequences for victims, and the role of private law in addressing the problem.
On 17 September at 18, the Opera Studio of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre presents Alessandro Scarlatti’s opera L’honestà negli amori (“Honesty in Love Affairs”, 1680), reconstructed by Estonian composer Eduard Tubin, at the University of Tartu’s assembly hall. This is the first time the opera will be performed in Estonia.
The welcome meeting brought together new and returning students from both years of the programme, with around 35 students from different countries currently studying in the two-year English-language programme in Tallinn.
From the beginning of this academic year, free menstrual pad dispensers have been installed in the university study buildings to ensure that hygiene products are always available when needed. A total of 39 dispensers have been placed in the buildings.
On Monday, 31 August at 10:00, the 2026/2027 academic year was opened in front of the university's main building. The programme of the ceremony included a musical performance by Puuluup.
