16 entries were submitted to the idea competition for the reconstruction of the University of Tartu School of Law building in Tallinn 

In October, the Estonian Association of Architects and the University of Tartu announced an idea competition to find the best solution for reconstructing the academic building of the School of Law in Tallinn at Kaarli pst 3 and designing the yard area. On 20 December, the procurement committee opened the 16 entries submitted to the competition. 

Before sending the works to the jury for evaluation, the committee will verify whether all participants meet the qualification criteria and whether entries comply with the requirements. 

The jury will gather on 17 January. They will open the name card envelopes with the keywords of the awarded entries and announce the authors at a public meeting, the details of which will be published on the websites of the public procurement register and the university. 

The jury comprises Kstina Noormets, Director of Administration (chair); Gaabriel Tavits, Director of the School of Law; Viljo Vider, Head of the Institutional Development Service of the university’s Estate Office; Katrin Koov, Eve Komp and Ülo Peil, members of the Estonian Association of Architects; and Lea Järve, Architect of the Tallinn Urban Planning Department. Alternate members of the jury are Kalle Komissarov from the Estonian Association of Architects; Tiina Mikk, Lecturer in Civil Law of the School of Law; and Ivo Heinrich Arro, Architect and Urban Planner of the Tallinn Strategic Management Office. 

The prize fund of the idea competition is 35,000 euros.
