The School of Law of the University of Tartu, in cooperation with the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences, is organising the international research seminar "The 35th Baltic Criminological Seminar: Challenges for criminology in turbulent times" in Tallinn on 19-20 June 2023.
The Baltic Criminological Seminar is one of the most important criminological and criminal policy events in the region. The Seminar is an interdisciplinary event bringing together lawyers, sociologists, social anthropologists, economists, and security and social policy experts.
The confirmed speakers at the conference are Prof. Jüri Saar (the Estonian Academy of Security Sciences), Prof. Chris Eskridge (University of Nebraska, President of the American Association of Criminology), Prof. Frieder Dünkel (University of Greifswald), Prof. Judith Pallot (University of Helsinki, Finland) among others.
We invite all interested researchers, academics, policymakers, practitioners, and students to participate. Participation is free, but pre-registration is required due to limited places.
The seminar will take place as a physical event at the Tallinn Chair of the Faculty of Law of the University of Tartu, Kaarli pst 3, Tallinn. A seminar is strictly an in-person event, not offering online participation.
