Volume 20 of the Baltic Yearbook of International Law (at Brill) is dedicated to the Estonian tradition of international law and also contains a symposium on non-Western approaches to the regulation of cyber conflicts in international law which was organized in cooperation between CCDCOE and the University of Tartu School of Law.
The launch of the yearbook will take place in the Estonian Academy of Sciences (Kohtu 6) in Tallinn on Wednesday 8th February 2023 at 15:00-17:00. The event will have two parts. In the first part, Ligita Gjortlere (Riga Graduate School of Law), Lauri Mälksoo (University of Tartu) and Dainius Žalimas (University of Kaunas) will discuss the place of the Baltic Yearbook of International Law in the landscape of international legal publications. We also reach out to potential new authors and discuss how to get published in the Baltic Yearbook in the future. In the second part, Lauri Mälksoo will have a conversation with two authors of the yearbook focusing on the Estonian tradition: Carri Ginter (University of Tartu) on EU law and Liina Lumiste (CCDCOE) on cyber conflicts and international law from non-Western perspectives. The presentations are in English; after the discussions snacks and refreshments will be served.
The event is free but registration by e-mail is needed at kerli.mangelsoo@ut.ee.
