School of Law opened Smart Classrooms in Tartu and in Tallinn

At the beginning of the new academic year, School of Law opened two interactive classrooms: one in School of Law’s campus in Tartu and the other in Tallinn.

Both classrooms are equipped with state of the art Sony technology that facilitates the use of active study methods within the classroom and between two classrooms.

"As we have students both in Tartu and in Tallinn, smart classrooms enable us to organize group work between two cities as well as joint lectures and seminars,” says Anette Aav, Project Manager for smart classrooms.

In addition, the classrooms are equipped with modular desks that can be repositioned according to the needs of the lecture, seminar or training.

"Smart classrooms will help us develop modern teaching methods that fit well with the modern university and a new generation of technology-conscious students," says Anette Aav.

Smart Classrooms were equipped in the framework of University of Tartu ASTRA project “PER ASPERA”  funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
