Loengu lühitutvustus:

“Many scholars find that our work is enriched, influenced, and shaped by engagement with work from other disciplines. Increasingly, we are also encouraged by research funders and university managers to engage in interdisciplinary research. Yet while interdisciplinary research holds many promises of openness, innovation, exchange, and shared insights, it can also be a search of perils, such as scientific imperialism, replacing pluralism with monism, or creating simplistic versions of each discipline. This lecture will reflect upon those promises and perils, and draw on the history of international law to suggest some ways that interdisciplinary encounters might avoid the spectre of imperialism.”
